Judas bought this toy/game for the boys back in December for Christmas. We just busted it out tonight. I know it sounds strange, but we hide away gifts and give them to them over time to avoid boredom and overkill of toys.
The toy/game: Balancing Monkey
Company: Plan Toys
Type: Learning multiplication
Website: http://usa.plantoys.com/product/balancing-monkeys/
Age group: 3+
Overall Rating (out of 10): 4
My thoughts:
What I liked:
What I didn't like:
My boys played with the monkeys, but did not get the principle of the game. Instead their goal was to balance out the monkeys. That only lasted for a short time. My hubby then created a game out of "fishing" for monkeys, which turned out to be pretty fun. All I can say is that it's a good thing all my guys have great imaginations. It was needed in ordered to enjoy this game.

My thoughts:
What I liked:
- The game is cute. My kids loved the little monkeys.
- Completely wooden, which after working in a montessori, I have grown to love.
- There are directions in the box on how to use the game.
What I didn't like:
- I do not know a single 3 year old who would get the concept of this game (my husband was even confused).
- They should have painted the number value over the holes to make it easier to understand the game.
- It comes apart easily.
